How to build a computer? A useful and easy tutorial about how to build your PC.

Verification of equipment :

A motherboard (CM)
A processor (CPU)
Ram)
A power supply (PSU)
A graphic map (GPU)
Hard disk and/or SSD (HDD/SSD/SSHD)
Case
A heat pipe

Some tips before you start :

Provide a fairly large and flat work surface (prefer the dining table or even floor surface, but no bed or soft surface because of the risk of losing the screwing).
Use a cup, bowl, or ramekin type container to place the complete screwdriver in each step.
Use a small cruciform screwdriver preferably magnetized.

Warning: the circuits of the components are very sensitive to static electricity. In their packaging, motherboards and graphics cards are surrounded by an anti-static plastic that absorbs static electricity. Therefore this plastic is rich in static electricity. So you should avoid touching the circuits of these components after touching this type of plastic or putting the plastic in direct contact with the components (as well as the synthetic sweaters, or the hair). To prevent any risk, unload your static electricity by touching a metal object before handling the components (e.g., metal parts of the housing).

Step 1, the CPU.

So in this step, you will set up the CPU in its location on the motherboard. To do this, first of all, look at the small arrow in the lower left corner (usually) at the location of the CPU on CM 1 and spot the same arrow on CPU 2 (it’s called the “dethroomer”). Open the small lever and take the CPU on the edges (we will try not to touch the gold side) and put the arrows in agreement, one stuck to the other. Close the lever. Done.

Step 2, Install CM

Put your case down and locate the holes corresponding to the format of your CM (9 holes for the classic ATX format). Open the screw box and take the time to read the manual provided with the box to locate the screws needed to fix the CM. Put the spacers on if there are no spacers already and then attach your CM to the back of the case.

Step 3, Fill in the CM

Once the CM is installed, we’ll put in the RAM, the ventured and the GPU.

For the ram, if you have two bars, you should install them in dual channel, which means with a location that separates them, either in 1-3 or 2-4, refer to the manual of the CM. Press down until you hear the click. Be careful; there’s a small hole on the Ram bar to match the port. One

For the ventured, first place the thermal paste supplied with the syringe in the form of a small hazelnut in the center of the processor (however, on some ventured the thermal paste is already applied, so check)2. Locate the four holes around the location of the CPU and make them match the four feet of the ventured 3, Press well until you hear the clicks

Finally, the GPU, remove the sufficient number of small protections at the back of the case depending on the location of your GPU 4. Stick the back of the GPU (where the video outputs are located) to the box, and drag it so that the card fits into its location. Press until you hear the click. Check that the security (right of the port) is in place and screw your GPU to the case. Five

Step 4, storage and CD player

Hard drive: locate the HDD cage (bottom in 1), slide it in, with the connectors to the back of the Box 2, do the same if you have an SSD. Do not hesitate to put a small screw to fix them well in addition to the easy fixings that no doubt has your case.

For the CD player (optional), remove a cache from the front of your box 3, and slide your player to the bottom, add a small screw (it must be at the top in 1).

Step 5, Placement

Place the PC power supply in its location (usually at the bottom of the unit) with the fan to floor 1 (if your unit has ventilation below it). Run all the cables through the back of the PC box.

Now all the pieces are in their places, make the connections.

Step 6, the connections

This is probably the longest step if you want excellent cable management, and everything starts afterward. Take your time for this step.

You will already connect the CM with the power supply, for this, locate the largest cables of the alim and connect it to the CM (the location is usually on the right). Locate another cable, usually 2×4 pins (on which must be marked CPU) 1 and plug it (usually top left) onto the CM. Two
The ventirad has a fan, so connect it to the location “CPU fan 1” (usually at the top of the ventured ). Refer to the schematics of the motherboard manual for easier location information.
The storage and the CD player have the same connectors, take the SATA cables provided with the CM, connect them to the CM “SATA 1/2/3″ 3 (usually on the right) and to the CD/HHD players. Find in the alim cables connectors in The Shape of ” L ” 4 connect them to the storage devices.
GPU: find 6 or 8 pin connectors on the alim 5 (you will probably need two cables) and connect two cables if you have 2×6 or 6+8 on your GPU.

The box: for the fans of the box, find on the CM the “sys fan” (manual) plug in the fans. You probably also have a big blue cable coming from the boiler, it is the USB 3, plug it to its location 7 (Generally Blue also on the right of the CM). Also if you have USB 2 ports, connect them to their locations (usually further down the CM). For audio cables, the connectors must also be at the bottom of CM 8. There is more than a small set of Cable (the front panel), read the manual of your CM very carefully to connect these, there is a very precise location for each pin (the locations must be at the bottom of the CM) 9
