To have your own workout room at home saves you time and you do not need a lot of space for this room.


1. Select a room for your workout. After taking the workout-room measurements the type of equipment that you want should be chosen. Enough space should be kept around the equipment to enable you to move about freely in the room.

2. A flat bench should be purchased because it is useful for a large number of exercises. A set of dumbbells with a storage rack and a treadmill or elliptical machine for cardio exercises should also be bought.

3. Some carpet or foam padding should be bought to put on the floor in your workout room. Sections of additional carpet should be kept beneath your exercise equipment.

4. Some aerobics or other workout DVDs can also be bought to help keep you motivated if you have a TV in the room.
